  • What is patented key control?

    To understand patented key control you should ask yourself two questions. Do you or your employees ever loan someone your keys and do you mind if they copy them without your knowledge? Patented keys cannot be duplicated except through persons authorized by you in writing and under contractual agreement with Medeco. Read more.

  • How many pinning options are there?

    SFIC's are available in six or seven pin cylinders, and can replace Best® style cores. Rim and mortise cylinders are available in 6 or 7 pin cylinders. Key-in-knob cylinders are available in 6 pin cylinders.

  • Do arrow cores fit into Best, Falcon
    IC housings and locksets?

    Yes the Arrow cores are manufactured to fit into competitive manufacturer's housings and locksets.

  • How long is the patent life on KeyMark x4?

    Patents expire in 2027

  • How do you program NEXGEN XT cylinders
    and keys?

    All access information is programmed in the NEXGEN Key (only key blacklists and audit information is kept on the cylinder). Programming is accomplished with the NEXGEN Security Manager software package (NSM) and a USB connected programming cradle and involves assigning a key to a user and applicable user groups, adding a time/date schedule, then clicking the "send to key" button in the software. It is very simple and intuitive.
